  • J: this is from an av club interview with alex cox:
  • J: "Is it hard to rectify what punk stands for and also make movies that cost a lot of money?"
  • J: do you think he means reconcile?
  • M: prolly, although maybe the guy from the onion thinks that Alex Cox has the difficult job of fixing what's wrong with punk and making movies at the same time.
  • J: but WHAT'S WRONG WITH PUNK?
  • M: "yeah, i mean, i gotta go out and tell everyone that Green Day isn't really punk and then i gotta police the ethical manufacturing of stud collars—all while i'm trying to set up the next shot. it takes a village, man."
